Compounded Nandrolone Decanoate
Nandrolone decanoate is an injectable anabolic-androgenic steroid derived from 19-nortestosterone that is sometimes used alongside testosterone therapy in select cases when patients experience joint pain, stiffness, or connective tissue concerns that may accompany hormone therapy or aging.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality prior to dispensing
Nandrolone decanoate is administered by intramuscular injection, typically in the glute or thigh. Injection frequency is usually less often than testosterone due to the longer-acting ester. Your physician will determine the dose and schedule based on your labs, your current TRT protocol, and your clinical response
Possible Side Effects
Compounded nandrolone is an anabolic-androgenic steroid and controlled substance. Side effects may include acne, oily skin, increased or decreased libido, mood changes, excitation, sleeplessness, nausea, chills, fluid retention, swelling, changes in cholesterol markers, changes in blood sugar control, and changes in liver-related labs.
Possible male-specific side effects may include suppression of natural testicular function, reduced sperm production, testicular shrinkage, infertility, erectile dysfunction, increased frequency of erections, prolonged erections or priapism, gynecomastia, epididymitis, bladder irritation, and worsening urinary symptoms in patients with prostate enlargement.
Injection-site reactions may include hives or irritation at the injection site, post-injection hardening, pain, redness, swelling, bruising, or infection-like symptoms.
Compounded nandrolone may increase sensitivity to oral anticoagulants and may increase bleeding risk in patients taking blood thinners. It may also affect glucose tolerance, so patients with diabetes may require closer monitoring.
Serious risks may include fluid retention that worsens heart, kidney, or liver disease; significant changes in cholesterol; liver-related complications; severe mood or psychiatric changes; prolonged erection; or serious reactions related to misuse, abuse, or use at doses higher than prescribed.
Seek medical care right away if you develop chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, severe swelling, yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe abdominal pain, severe mood changes, symptoms of a blood clot, signs of infection at the injection site, or an erection lasting more than four hours.
Tell your healthcare provider if side effects are severe, persistent, worsening, or concerning.

Important Safety Information
Important Safety Information — Compounded Nandrolone
What is this?
This Important Safety Information summarizes key warnings, precautions, contraindications, and possible side effects for compounded nandrolone, an injectable anabolic-androgenic steroid medication used in certain male patients when a licensed healthcare provider determines that nandrolone therapy is medically appropriate.
Nandrolone is an anabolic-androgenic steroid. It has anabolic and androgenic activity and is not the same medication as testosterone.
Compounded nandrolone is a controlled substance. Use only as prescribed. Do not use compounded nandrolone for bodybuilding, athletic enhancement, or non-medical performance purposes.
This page does not include all possible information about compounded nandrolone. Always follow your prescription label, pharmacy instructions, and the instructions provided by your ATHS healthcare provider.
Compounded nandrolone is not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed. Compounded medications may be prescribed when a licensed healthcare provider determines that a compounded preparation is medically appropriate for a specific patient.
Who should not use compounded nandrolone?
Do not use compounded nandrolone if you have prostate cancer, male breast cancer, nephrosis or the nephrotic phase of nephritis, cardio-renal failure, significant liver disease with impaired bilirubin excretion, or a known allergy to nandrolone or any ingredient in your formulation.
Do not use compounded nandrolone if you have been told by a healthcare provider that anabolic steroid therapy is unsafe for you.
Do not use compounded nandrolone for bodybuilding, athletic performance, physique enhancement, or non-medical hormone manipulation.
Compounded nandrolone is not intended for use in women or pediatric patients unless specifically prescribed by a qualified healthcare provider after appropriate evaluation.
Anabolic Steroid and Controlled Substance Warning
Compounded nandrolone is an anabolic-androgenic steroid and controlled substance. Misuse, abuse, or use at doses higher than prescribed can cause serious health risks.
Use only as prescribed. Do not increase your dose, change your injection schedule, combine nandrolone with other anabolic steroids, or continue treatment against medical advice.
Anabolic steroids should not be used to enhance athletic ability.
Cardiovascular, Kidney, Liver, and Fluid Retention Warnings
Nandrolone should be used with caution in patients with heart, kidney, or liver disease. Anabolic steroids may cause fluid retention, which can worsen certain cardiovascular, kidney, or liver conditions.
Tell your healthcare provider if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, heart failure, prior heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, swelling, or fluid retention.
Contact your provider if you develop swelling of the ankles or legs, rapid weight gain, shortness of breath, worsening blood pressure, chest discomfort, or reduced urination.
Prostate and Urinary Warnings
Nandrolone should be used with caution in patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy or urinary symptoms.
Tell your healthcare provider if you have prostate enlargement, elevated PSA, difficulty urinating, weak urine stream, frequent urination at night, bladder irritation, or a history of prostate disease.
Do not use compounded nandrolone if you have prostate cancer unless a qualified specialist specifically determines otherwise.
Reproductive and Hormonal Effects
Nandrolone may suppress natural testicular function and may reduce sperm production. Possible effects include testicular shrinkage, low sperm count, infertility, erectile dysfunction, changes in libido, increased frequency of erections, prolonged erections, priapism, and gynecomastia.
Tell your healthcare provider if you are trying to conceive, have fertility concerns, develop breast tenderness or enlargement, experience erectile changes, or have an erection lasting more than four hours.
Cholesterol and Metabolic Monitoring
Nandrolone may increase or decrease serum cholesterol and may affect other cardiovascular risk markers. Patients with a history of heart attack, coronary artery disease, high cholesterol, or other cardiovascular risk factors may require closer monitoring.
Anabolic steroids may alter glucose tolerance. Patients with diabetes or blood sugar concerns should be monitored carefully, and insulin or oral diabetes medication requirements may change.
Liver and Laboratory Test Effects
Nandrolone may affect liver-related laboratory tests and other clinical laboratory tests, including thyroid-related tests, fasting blood sugar and glucose tolerance tests, electrolytes, clotting factors, cholesterol, and certain hormone-related or steroid-related tests.
Tell your healthcare provider if you develop yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, persistent nausea or vomiting, unusual fatigue, abdominal pain, or other symptoms that may suggest liver problems.
Blood Thinner and Bleeding Warning
Anabolic steroids may increase sensitivity to oral anticoagulants. Patients taking warfarin or other blood thinners may require closer monitoring and possible dose adjustment by their healthcare provider.
Tell your provider if you take blood thinners or if you develop unusual bruising, bleeding, black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, or bleeding that does not stop.
Mood, Sleep, Abuse, Misuse, and Dependence
Nandrolone may cause mood changes, excitation, sleeplessness, irritability, or other psychiatric symptoms. Abuse of anabolic-androgenic steroids has been associated with serious psychiatric and physical risks.
Tell your healthcare provider if you have a history of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, aggression, mania, psychosis, substance use disorder, or prior anabolic steroid misuse.
Seek medical attention if you develop severe mood changes, aggression, mania, hallucinations, paranoia, suicidal thoughts, or behavior that feels unusual or unsafe.

Injection Site Reactions
Injection-site reactions may include pain, redness, swelling, bruising, itching, hives, irritation, hardening, or infection-like symptoms at the injection site.
Contact your provider if injection-site symptoms are severe, worsening, persistent, warm to the touch, draining, or associated with fever.
Drug Interactions
Tell your healthcare provider about all medications, vitamins, supplements, hormones, peptides, and over-the-counter products you use.
Compounded nandrolone may interact with oral anticoagulants, insulin, oral diabetes medications, corticosteroids, other hormone therapies, anabolic steroids, and medications or supplements that affect blood pressure, cholesterol, liver function, glucose control, or bleeding risk.
Do not combine compounded nandrolone with other anabolic steroids or performance-enhancing substances unless specifically directed by your healthcare provider.
Monitoring During Treatment
Your provider may monitor blood pressure, complete blood count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, cholesterol markers, liver-related labs, kidney-related labs, glucose or A1c, testosterone-related markers, estradiol, PSA when clinically appropriate, and other labs based on your medical history and treatment plan.
Do not skip recommended lab testing. Some risks of anabolic steroid therapy may not be obvious without blood work or follow-up evaluation.
Pediatric and Adolescent Use
Compounded nandrolone is not suitable for children or adolescents unless specifically prescribed by a qualified specialist after appropriate evaluation.
Anabolic steroids may cause serious disturbances of growth and sexual development in children and may cause premature closure of growth plates.
Older Adults
Older adults may be more likely to have prostate disease, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, liver disease, or other conditions that require closer monitoring during anabolic steroid therapy.
Tell your healthcare provider about any history of prostate enlargement, elevated PSA, prostate cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, kidney disease, or liver disease.
When to Contact Your Provider
Contact your provider if you develop swelling, rapid weight gain, acne, oily skin, mood changes, insomnia, breast tenderness or enlargement, changes in libido, erectile changes, testicular changes, urinary symptoms, injection-site symptoms, unusual bruising or bleeding, abnormal lab results, or side effects that are persistent or concerning.
Seek Emergency Medical Care
Seek emergency medical care if you experience chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, fainting, symptoms of stroke, severe swelling, severe allergic reaction, severe mood changes, suicidal thoughts, yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe abdominal pain, signs of a blood clot, signs of a serious injection-site infection, or an erection lasting more than four hours.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, follow the instructions on your prescription label or contact your healthcare provider or pharmacy.
Do not use extra compounded nandrolone to make up for a missed dose. Do not change your dosing schedule without medical direction.
Overdose
In case of overdose or accidental exposure, seek medical attention immediately or contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
Using more nandrolone than prescribed may increase the risk of serious androgenic, cardiovascular, psychiatric, liver-related, reproductive, and laboratory abnormalities.
